Is It Necessary To Social Distance From Other Nannies While On The Job?

The topic of COVID mitigation strategies can be a hot button topic for nannies and families. While most nannies and families agree with the importance of following the CDC and local guidelines, in practice, some families may request that their nannies follow much stricter standards. It is important to discuss with your employer the expectations around social distancing while on the job. For example, some parents may not require or request social distancing if their nanny has been vaccinated, while others may whether their nanny was or was not. Some may require or request social distancing while indoors only, while others may whether their nanny is indoors or out. Having a transparent conversation about the expectations around social distancing can help you to better understand how you should approach interacting with other nannies while on the job.
